I've made two appointments for my son, yet their office canceled them both a few hours before the appt times. Said the X-ray machine is down, and they'd call to reschedule him once it was up and running. I understand these things happen, but I find it hard to believe an oral surgeon's office could be without an X-ray machine since April 17!! They've never called me back.
I scheduled my 81 year old father for a tooth extraction with Dr. Scherer. When my brother took him in for the procedure, Dr. Scherer found other issues. I'm glad he dug deeper to find out the real issue but since he doesn't bill Medicare or Medicare supplements, I ended up with a much larger bill than expected. Be careful that you have a full understanding of the costs before the procedure and make sure you understand why the procedures are necessary. I didn't get very good information but I got a big bill. Be careful.
