Waited a while to make this review out of caution. Tldr; going here reminded me why I have dental anxiety, and why so many dentists drive luxury cars. Came in, filled out my paperwork, then was left waiting for 30 min past my appointment time. Nobody came or left in the entire time I was in the lobby, so they clearly weren't busy. The emptiness was the first sign I should have just left. Was finally asked in, and as they prepared to take x-rays I informed them I needed a child-size mouth piece. 5 stars for Dr Kim. 0 stars for billing. I was assured that I would be scheduled after 6mo mark so insurance would cover it. That didn't happen. Apparently insurance is complicated and they make mistakes sometimes and other people have to pay for it. No apology, no accountability. I don't think they're malicious but I do know they're incompetent, and the lack of accountability disgusts me. But Dr Kim is a stand up guy and covered the bill. Watch out for these kinda places, always check your bills.

To start Dr. Kim is AMAZING and sure wish he was at my last appointment. Went to get a temp crown and got drilled on for 2 hours. I sensed something was wrong bc the girls (dentist and hygienist) kept whispering behind my chair. I left 2.5 hrs later with my whole ‘gum’ area raw. Was driving home, literally 7 minutes later, the temp crown fell off! I called right away but the receptionist said everyone went home. This was at 4:15 pm. Now will only see Dr. Kim at that office.

I am new to the area and had to find a new dentist. They were able to get me in the same week (hard to find around here) and were able to move forward with the work I needed done the following week. I was able to get a root canal in house instead of being referred elsewhere. Amazing service and very kind staff! I needed to get a lot done and they offered a comprehensive plan without making me feel bad about the state of my teeth. Very much appreciate that!

Fantastic experience from beginning to end. Dr. Kim and his whole staff were so friendly and welcoming. The hygienist was gentle and talked me through the entire process. Dr. Kim was very knowledgeable, he took his time to go over my x-rays/photos and explain things in a clear and understanding way. The whole crew at OC Smiles were great! I highly recommend this practice and will continue to see them for all of my dental needs!
